  39. Category 1 : Cover of songs released in the 60's

  41. Category 2 : Cover of songs released in the 70's
  42.  
  43. Category 3 : Cover of songs released in the 80's
  44.  
  45. Category 4 : Your own compositions. (But not House/Acid/Rave).

  49.  RULES:                                                                      
  50.  (These must be adhered to)

  52. Full  details  of  the  author  must be given, i.e.:  name, address, telephone
  53. number.   If  it  is author's own composition (category 4), a signed statement
  54. must  be  included  to the effect that it IS completely your own work with any
  55. samples that you have used being your own or within the Public Domain and that
  56. you  understand  that the composition will become the property of RBF Software
  57. and may be used at some later stage by the said RBF Software.  (If this is the
  58. case, your name will be given, SHOULD it be used).
  59.  
  60. If  it is a cover (categories 1, 2, 3), then you MUST state the name(s) of the
  61. original  artists  and  it's  composer  (if known) and the name/address of the
  62. copyright  owners  (this is always given on the sleeve/label etc.), along with
  63. full details of where teh samples used actually came from.
  64.  
  65. It  must  have been composed using OctaMED v5 and the songs must be sent to us
  66. compressed using the new SFCD format that is available in OctaMED v5 only.  If
  67. a  disk  arrives with songs not compressed or for that matter, compressed with
  68. PowerPacker, they will NOT be entered into the competition!
  69.  
  70. Entries  MUST  be  on a NEW diskette (not an overworked oldie covered in nasty
  71. sticky  label remnants), only two disks maximum may be sent per entrant, disks
  72. will  NOT  be  returned,  so make absolutely sure that you keep a copy of your
  73. work for yourself!

  86. Instead of us stating which prize you will get, WE are going to decide this in
  87. order  of  merit  (YES,  the best gets the best).  But in fairness, in case we
  88. think  yours  is  the best entry, please write your preferred choice upon your
  89. entry as:  Choice 1, choice 2, etc.  etc....
  90.  
  91. The closing date of this XMAS 93 competition is MAY 1st, 1994 !

  93. All winning entrants will be notified no later than July 31st 1994 !

  95. Note that this competition is open to ALL users of OctaMED v5 - you don't have
  96. to be a member of MUG !
